Coastal High 50km trail event what an experience yesterday. 04 hrs 55minutes Position 4th overall, first in age group 👴🏼Entering this event for the first time unknown to how tricky the course would be as we navigated 2000m of elevation, Rain forest beauty, creek crossings, mud, clay, and 900 stairs the course had it all. Simply breathtaking views and a couple of oh shit moments falling over 😂It’s fair to say these days are so special and so far from racing as a professional athlete.The mindset/nerves/strategy race planning never leaves and u can’t but not grit and suffer knowing it’s optional and a hobby which makes that feeling extremely inviting to feel again. An Incredible organisation, attention to detail and vibe at every aid station and course turn we hit.It’s a bloody long way 50km in the trails and as a first-time rookie not knowing the course the navigation was on point and easy to navigate. 👏There is no individual event and the support on the course and from our loyal Adsysathletes crew was just tip top 🤎 Thanks for coming out in the pouring rain it meant a lot. Running with Gratitude in buckets yesterday and a reminder we don’t need to train a lot as we navigate a busy world just be consistent and have a plan that can bend when it needs to so be flexible, not perfect.
